Dear Patients of Brogan Orthodontics,
We hope you and your families are all safe and well. Thank you for your patience as we are unable to see you on a regular basis. As you know, we have been open to take your calls and see emergencies on a limited basis following the guidelines of the Department of Health (DOH). Kathy checks messages daily and tries to get back to everyone in a timely fashion. We will soon be able to see patients for regular appointments starting Monday June 8. We are committed to the safety of patients and staff as always.
Our staff will call you to make regular appointments in the order where we left off at the start of the crisis. Please only call in the case where the patient needs emergency attention, otherwise we will contact you.
Going forward there will be some changes in office procedures to ensure your health.
We will be following new guidelines established by the Centers for Disease Control, the American Dental Association, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration regarding protective gear for staff and patient flow through the office.
We will be managing appointment times to allow social distancing and disinfection between patients. Therefore, expect less availability of appointment times. When making your appointment our staff will ask you some questions about your health and contacts. Please call from the parking lot when you arrive at the office and we will let you know when to enter. We ask that you wear a mask to your appointment. Your temperature will be taken when you get to the office. Hand sanitizer will be available once you arrive. Adult patients should come alone to their appointment. If a parent should want to accompany a child to their appointment, then only one parent should enter the office. Please brush your teeth before coming to the office to reduce overall contact and time in the office. The patient will be asked to rinse with a mouthwash once they arrive.
You will notice our staff wearing additional personal protective equipment including gowns, masks, and face shields. Additional suction units to reduce the spread of droplets will be used for aerosol-generating procedures. HEPA filtration units are being installed in each office to clean the air continually.
We regret the inconvenience that these changes represent, but please know that we are doing all of these extra protocols for your protection.
Thank you for your continued confidence and loyalty. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again in a safe and friendly environment.
Sincerely,
Dr. Brogan and the team
